Mangaluru, KA: Police locate missing Hindu girl with notorious gangster Mohammad Ashfaq, VHP alleges love jihad

A Hindu girl who went missing a few days ago has been found with a notorious Muslim youth in the Pandeshwar station area. The girl, a BCA student at a prestigious private college in Mangaluru, was kidnapped by an Islamist Mohammad Ashfaq on July 4th. Based on the reports from Kahale News, a complaint was immediately filed at the Vidyanagar police station, and the girl was later rescued from the clutches of Ashfaq.

However, on June 30th, the girl was kidnapped again, and her father reported that they were in Kochi, Kerala. The notorious Islamist Mohammad Ashfaq, who is already married and has eight criminal cases against him in the Vidyanagar police station in Kasaragod, is accused of abducting the girl and unlawfully converting her to Islam. The girl’s father has lodged a complaint with the Mangaluru Police Commissioner regarding the abduction of his daughter, a student at a private college in Mangaluru.

Vinod, the father of the girl, a resident of Vidyanagar, Kasaragod, was seen in tears in front of the media in Mangalore, as his daughter, who had been struggling for 20 years, had severed ties with our relationship and had gone with someone without a job. He was in tears, asking what should be done in his situation. Vinod’s 20-year-old daughter, who had been studying BSc at Srinivas College in Mangalore last year, had been unable to pay her second-year fees due to their poor financial situation. Vinod, who worked as a mason in Vidyanagar, stated that the college had not allowed her to continue her studies in the second year without the original certificates of her education.

Based on the reports from Headline Karnataka, it has been revealed that she was in contact with an Islamist man named Muhammad Ashwaq, a resident of Vidyanagar, Kasaragod, who has fifteen cases across two police stations in Kasaragod. Additionally, he had previously married two other girls. It is known that she had been in contact with an Islamist man with a criminal background and had been housed at the house of relatives without listening to the wishes of her parents. However, under the guise of reconciliation, he had come to Ullal and taken her away, informing both the family and the police that she had left with him according to her wishes.

Vinod expressed, if he had been a good person, there would have been no trouble. Now, the police have taken her to the counseling center in Mangalore after Vinod’s approach for the help. The police have recorded an FIR, taken her away, and indicated that the girl left with him according to her wishes, creating trouble for the family and the police.

VHP calls for stringent action against Mohammad Ashfaq

Expressing outrage over the incident, Sharan Kumar Pumpwell, a leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, stated that the Hindu community needs to be vigilant against Love Jihad. He noted that the conversion of Hindu girls under the guise of love and marriage is increasing in the coastal region. He emphasized the need for a strong law in the country to curb love jihad.

Recent reports indicate a rising trend of love jihad in Karnataka, where there has been a targeted approach by Islamists. This involves systematically deceiving Hindu girls, grooming them to develop relationships with Islamist youths, and instances of abduction and forced conversions. Karnataka, like other parts of Bharat, has seen 15 recent reported cases of such incidents of love jihad which is highly concerning among Hindus.
