The mystery of the death of Vishal Srivastava (22), a resident of Mian locality of Nichlaul city, has been resolved. Three Muslim friends of Vishal had killed him by drowning him in the canal. The police registered a case of murder against the three accused friends on the complaint of the father of the deceased youth on Thursday.
On July 29, Vishal Srivastava, son of Jagarnath Srivastava, a resident of Mian locality of Nichlaul, had gone out to see the Tazia procession with his three Muslim friends. He didn’t come back home till late at night. After that, the relatives tried hard to find Vishal, but he could not be found anywhere.
On July 30, when a formal complaint was lodged with the police, and a missing report was also filed. Meanwhile, the Police got input and recovered the dead body of Vishal from the canal. In the investigation by the police, it is found that Vishal has been murdered by his friends.
Nichlaul police station in-charge Inspector Satyaprakash Singh said that a case of murder has been registered against three accused Dilshad and Jia-Ul residents of Mian Mohalla and Javed Ansari resident Sonauli on the Tahrir of Vishal’s father Jagarnath Srivastava. The police team arrested all three accused and is interrogating them for further action.
Vinita, the aunt of the dead youth Vishal Srivastava told that after giving Tahrir to the police on Wednesday, a woman entered their house at around 8.30 pm. She has started threatening the family to not proceed with the case against the three accused. She also said that if the case is not suppressed, the family will face unprecedented consequences. The family members are quite scared at this moment of grief and sadness.
The police have beefed up the security of the victim’s family. Five policemen including a sub-inspector and four constables have been deployed for their security. As it’s a matter of two different communities, the police are taking extra vigilance.
Victim’s relatives say that there were injury marks on Vishal’s head as well. According to the relatives, the accused must have first hit Vishal’s head from behind. Due to this Vishal had fallen, and then they viciously executed the incident and tried to portray it as an accident. According to the postmortem report, the police believe that Vishal died due to drowning in water.
