Madrasa teacher Abdul Hamidi arrested in POCSO case: Kasargod, Kerala

In a profoundly distressing incident, a minor girl became the victim of a brutal assault perpetrated by a madrasa teacher, Abdul Hamidi (44). The incident took place in Kerala’s Kasaragod district. He is a native of Kumbla and now faces legal consequences as he was arrested in connection with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case. The arrest was made following a formal complaint lodged by the distressed child’s parents at the Kumbla Police Station.

The shocking details of the incident came to light when the parents, harbouring suspicions about their child’s altered behaviour subsequent to her return from madrasa, decided to inquire into the matter. It was during this investigation that the young girl, burdened by the traumatic experience, mustered the courage to reveal the distressing details to her concerned parents.

Abdul Hamidi, the accused, was promptly taken into custody and subsequently produced before the court. The legal proceedings resulted in his remand for a duration of 14 days, underscoring the severity of the allegations against him. The authorities are actively engaged in a thorough investigation into this deeply unsettling incident to ensure justice is served and to ascertain the full extent of the circumstances surrounding the assault.
