Kolkata: Ultra-Communist students attacked Hindu students in Jadavpur University for organising a special Puja on the occasion of ‘Pran Pratishtha’

Earlier today, clashes broke out inside the campus of Jadavpur University in Kolkata. Ultra-Communist students allegedly attacked the Hindu students for organising a special Puja and Havan on the occasion of Sri Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha.

As per the sources, some Hindu students today organised a special Puja to commemorate the Pran Pratishtha. Programs, including Puja, Havan and Ram Katha, were organised in the Parking Slot-4 area.

While some students were busy placing saffron-coloured Sri Ram flags, some communist students attacked them. They shouted anti-Hindu slogans and unleashed attacks. Several students were chased and beaten with sticks. Several students got injured in the attack.

However, soon after the incident, several other Hindu students gathered on the university campus and protested against the attack. Raising ‘Jai Sri Ram’ slogans, they condemned the attack and demanded action against the attackers.

As of now, injured students are treated in a hospital. Sources said that students are planning to lodge a formal complaint against this attack to the university’s authority.
