A 10th-grade student from St. Aloysius’ High School suddenly became annoyed after hearing his mother’s bell sound coming from the Pooja room. When his parents asked him the reason, he kept avoiding them. After persisting, he admitted that his female Christian teacher took him to the church and cut his ‘Shikha’ (a Brahmin ritual symbolizing wisdom).

Later, his text messages revealed that the student had sexual chats with his teacher. The parents have accused the teacher of trapping their minor in ‘love’ and attempting his conversion. The teacher has now been suspended from the school. Meanwhile, the parents are accusing the police of incompetence for not arresting the accused female teacher yet.

According to media reports, this case is of Cantt police station area of ​​Kanpur. The victim is a Class 10 student of St. Aloysius High School. According to the victim’s family, their son has started hating the Hindu religion, he was also irritated by the bells ringing during the puja at home. For about a year he had stopped respecting the gods and goddesses. When the family members asked the reason for this, he did not give any satisfactory answer.

When the child returned home about four months ago, his ‘shikha’ was cut off. After much questioning, he told that a female teacher of the school had taken him to church, where she got his hair cut. According to the victim’s father, recently he checked his son’s phone and found that the female teacher used to talk obscenely to his son in the middle of the night. She used to pressurize him to have physical relations with her.

The teacher who has been accused of this has been teaching in the school for almost 37 years. She is about 60 years old and is nearing her retirement. The victim’s family has termed this act as a conspiracy against their child for conversion in the name of love. The husband and brother of the accused teacher are also said to be involved in this conspiracy.

After the matter came to light, the school administration has suspended the female teacher. On October 16, a procession was taken out under the leadership of ABVP State Organization Minister Anshul Vidyarthi, who demanded a strict action against the school administration.

Family members also alleged that Hindu children were being shamed in the school by calling them Hindus beggars. School principal Walter D’Silva has been said to be the mastermind of this conspiracy of conversion. On 16 October 2023, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) demonstrated over this incident. A complaint has been given to the police about the matter, which is being investigated.
