Kamil posed as Kamal, lured the girl into a love trap, raped her, forced her to eat beef and convert to Islam

In Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Muzaffarnagar, a case of love jihad has been reported. A Muslim man named Kamil pretended to be a Hindu named Kamal on social media to befriend a girl from Haryana and promised to marry her.

The girl, who is from Haryana, met Kamil online a year ago. Kamil introduced himself as Kamal and convinced her to leave her home and come stay with him promising marriage. Over the past year, Kamil, still pretending to be Kamal, raped the girl and forced her to have two abortions when she became pregnant. When the girl asked Kamil to marry her, he pressured her to convert to her religion. When she refused, Kamil and his sisters-in-law beat her. It is also alleged that during this time, Kamil forced her to eat beef.

The girl managed to escape and contacted the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) for help. VHP workers took her to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), who listened to her story. Subsequently, the SSP registered a case and ordered action against Kamil. According to the police, the girl is from Jind, Haryana, and Kamil is from Sandhavali village in the Mansoorpur police station area.
