In Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Bulandshahr, a shocking incident has come to light where a Hindu youth named Vikas Saini was severely injured after boiling oil was poured on him with the intention of killing him. Another youth, Subhash, also got caught in the attack while trying to save Vikas. The incident took place in the Gulavathi police station area.

The victim’s family has alleged that the attackers, identified as Abu Nasar, Shaukeen, and Ajaib, are known for assaulting Hindus regularly. The attackers hail from the Qureshi family, which has a criminal record. They are also accused of illegal activities like selling vegetables without proper licenses. Vikas Saini, who sells vegetables on a cart, was reportedly being harassed by the accused for money.

On the day of the incident, Vikas had gone to the vegetable market with Rs 13,800 from his relative when the accused attacked him. They beat him, snatched his money, and threw him to the ground. While beating him, they also poured boiling oil on his chest, intending to kill him. Subhash, who tried to help Vikas, also suffered burns from the boiling oil.

The accused managed to escape, and locals took Vikas and Subhash to the hospital for treatment. The victim’s family is demanding strict action against the attackers. Police have registered an FIR against the accused under IPC Sections 394, 307, 504 and 511.

The incident has raised concerns as the vegetable market where the attack occurred is Muslim-dominated. The family of the victim mentioned that about 80% of the commission agents there are from the Muslim community.

They also mentioned a previous incident where the same attackers had beaten an SC (Dalit) youth named Hrithik, but the police had taken only mild action. The victim’s family believes that if the police had taken strict action in Hrithik’s case, this attack on Vikas might have been prevented.
