Islamist Sabir kidnapped, raped and forcefully converted minor SC girl: Alwar, R’than

A case of kidnapping, rape, forced religious conversion and marriage involving Islamist Sabir and a 17-year-old SC (Scheduled Caste) girl has emerged from Rajasthan’s Alwar district.

The victim’s family filed a complaint, leading to the police registering a case under various sections, including the SC-ST Act and POCSO Act. The investigation is now under the supervision of Ramgarh DSP Omprakash Bishnoi. SC (Scheduled Caste) community has demanded swift action against the accused and has warned of protests if action is not taken promptly. According to DSP Om Prakash Bishnoi, the family reported the incident on April 15 at Bagad Tirahe police station, alleging kidnapping, rape and forced marriage.

The victim’s family stated that their daughter went missing on April 13 while going to the market to get her silver anklets repaired. They later learned that the accused, Sabir, had taken her to his village. Sabir’s family initially promised to return the girl home by night but later informed them that she had been converted to Islam and married to Sabir as per Islam.

Ramgarh Mandal BJP’s General Secretary, Dinesh Gautam, alleged that this is a case of Love Jihad and demanded the immediate arrest of the accused, warning of protests from the SC (Scheduled Caste) community if action is not taken swiftly.
