A shocking communal attack was reported in Shivamogga’s Marnami Bail on November 17, where Hindu youth Harish was brutally assaulted by youths from the Islamic community. The Islamist assailants allegedly stopped him during his late-night walk and questioned him, “Are you Hindu or Muslim? ” The moment Harish replied that he was Hindu, the men launched a violent attack. CCTV footage from the area has reportedly captured parts of the assault, strengthening the family’s claim that he was targeted solely for his religious identity.
According to Harish, he had stepped out after dinner for a short walk when three to four Islamist miscreants confronted him. They blocked his way, interrogated him about his faith, and immediately began beating him once he stated he was Hindu. As per Asianet News, he attempted to escape but was chased and attacked again. Harish also stated that the attackers robbed the money he had in his pocket. The incident has left him injured and shaken.
Local residents have expressed deep concern, alleging that areas such as Marnami Bail, JC Nagar, and RML Nagar have recently become unsafe due to the rise of anti-social elements and drug-related violence. Many accused the police of ignoring repeated complaints and allowing a fear-ridden atmosphere to develop. Residents said that attacks have been happening frequently, and victims are scared to approach the police because no effective action is taken.
Following the assault, BJP MLA Channabasappa rushed to the locality after hearing that Harish’s family and residents were afraid to even file a complaint. He took a strong stand against police inaction and personally escorted Harish to the police station. The MLA confronted the officers, questioning why citizens need an MLA’s presence just to lodge a complaint and why innocent Hindus were being attacked while police allegedly remained passive.
Harish later spoke to Asianet Suvarna News, describing the assault in detail. He stated that the attackers directly asked him about his religion and beat him only after he identified himself as Hindu. He added that police had not been responding properly, which is why he approached the MLA for help. Harish’s wife, Lakshmi, also expressed fear, saying that within minutes of leaving home, her husband was attacked, and nobody in the neighborhood came forward to help due to the climate of fear.
Hindus never initiate violence, yet they continue to be targeted simply for their identity. What happened in Pahalgam, where terrorists asked a family, ‘Are you Hindu?’ and then shot them in front of their loved ones, remains a horrifying reminder of how extremist, jihadi-influenced mindsets operate. Such radical, violent ideology has long existed within pockets of Islamic extremist elements. In Karnataka, the Congress government under Siddaramaiah has been widely pursuing appeasement politics from the very beginning, creating an atmosphere where anti-Hindu or pro-Pakistan slogans and behavior are ignored instead of being confronted. As a result, attacks on Hindus are being reported almost daily across the state, which is extremely painful and deeply concerning.
If somehow reverse had happened it would have become a news in mainstream and Islamic/Leftist media nationally and internationally. But as it is, currently these media totally ignore such happenings.

It is clear for the umpteenth time again that Hindu masses themselves have no interest and motivation or ideological binding in recognizing themselves as such. So, Hindu police remain purposely inactive and cow-towing to politics of mohammadan terror and and it’s appeasement, become part of the anti-Hindu criminal hate system.
It is critical for Hindus to think about the cause of this apathy, instead of simply trying to plead to the authorities for help. We must move beyond rampant and almost exclusive devi-devta-bhakti-and-mythologies as Hindu dharm as these become sectarian, distracting, and impotent and also practically only cover those Hindus who really believe as such literally, which in actual observation might be a minuscule number.
Ironically, Hindus are keeping this nation from being a bigoted, murderous, vengeful extremist, devout jihadi society as our “Islamic” neighbors – wretched societies hallucinating with pride. Their pride consists of being “superior” or “winner” through intimidation and by scheming to enroll or gain support from as many as possible non-Mohammadans in their pyramid scheme. But with common masses acting individually and not taking help from Hindu organization we will soon become one like them.
