Pak-return ISI Agent Kaleem shifted to Lucknow Jail

Kaleem, an ISI agent who was released from a Pakistan jail along with his parents, has been moved from Muzaffarnagar jail to Lucknow jail. The police are still trying to catch the other accused on the run, but they assure that they will be caught soon.

In July 2022, Nafees, his wife Amina, and their son Kaleem visited Pakistan to visit family. On their way back, the Pakistan Customs Department arrested them for having a pistol. However, they were released on August 10 due to a lack of evidence and returned to Bharat on August 12.

Later, the STF Meerut detained Kaleem, discovering that he was an ISI agent during interrogation. WhatsApp chats on his phone revealed communication with a Pakistani ISI agent. The police filed a case against him, Tehseem alias Mota, and Yusuf Samsi, who is from Saharanpur. He was initially held in Muzaffarnagar jail. SP Abhishek mentioned that he has now been transferred to Lucknow jail. The police actively conduct raids to locate the other absconding individuals, expressing confidence in their imminent arrests.

In a raid in Shamli about a month and a half ago, Kaleem’s family members were questioned, and his house was sealed. The team seized some documents, and it is anticipated that the NIA (National Investigation Agency) might also interrogate Kaleem.
