Yesterday, South Asian Journal (@sajournal1) ‘knowingly’ posted an old video from 2021 to flame the ongoing Farmer Protest.
In less than 24 hours, the tweet gained 2.1M views which created frenzy.
Let us now uncover the handle. The bogus handle was created in 2021 with the sole aim of propagating agenda by inciting hatred and violence in India’s minorities.
The account openly support hashtags like #BoycottIndia #BoycottIndianProducts and #IndianMuslimsUnderAttack which are otherwise popular in Bangladesh and Maldives with ulterior motives.
More so, the handle backs hashtag like #PakistanZindabad along the lines of portraying violence and persecution on #Indian minorities.
Now, let’s have a look at handle’s Instagram account. Leave, ‘South Asia’ the account has only 2 purposes to serve: a) To back Pakistan by covering positive issues. b) To attack India, portraying minorities as the soft-target. Watch the video & you’ll believe me in a jiffy.
That my friends, how the propaganda works. The IG handle has also extended its support to Pannun’s #Khalistan Referendum and the role of India in #Nijjar killing.
The Twitter handle also follows Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and even fake SFJ accounts like
@Balkaur07527817 Rest all are #Pakistani accounts.
The account frequently retweets and pushes Pakistani handles.
Now, let’s break the suspense. The account was earlier named as Sameer Khan who later changed its name to South Asian Journal.
You will now ask who Sameer Khan is? Khan is a wanna be actor/influencer who claims to work in Hollywood.
The same Sameer Khan who also posted old video of Holi for propaganda in which they removed several parts from few videos & decided to post videos on a particular day to pretend that incidents are recent Accounts from Canada, England & a Palestinian supporter also supported.
At testing times like these, it becomes significant to identify the thin line between truth and fake. Any political event always calls for an opportunity for propagandists to disseminate their agenda.
