Hindus demand FIR against Islamists who raised provocative slogans after Eid Namaz in Unhel: Ujjain, MP

Hindu organizations demanded an FIR against the Islamists after a video surfaced showing the Islamists raising slogans of “Israel will be destroyed” (Israel Tu Barbad Hoga) after Eid Namaz in Unhel of Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) Ujjain district. They have warned of protests if action is not taken against those responsible.

According to Lakhan Singh Pipavad, State President of Hindu Sena Raksha Dal Cow Protection Cell, around 150 to 200 people from the Muslim community participated in a procession on Friday in Unhel Town’s Qazi Mohalla, near Soni Mandir. During the procession, objectionable slogans were raised.

After receiving the video between 12:30 pm and 1 pm, the Hindu Sena Raksha Dal Cow Protection Cell Madhya Pradesh submitted a memorandum demanding an FIR against those who raised anti-national slogans and their arrest. They have also threatened to hold protests if timely action is not taken.

The video shows a group of Muslim youth shouting slogans. It is alleged that these slogans are objectionable and could incite religious sentiments. SP Pradeep Sharma confirmed that the matter has come to his attention. The Hindu organization has submitted a video along with the memorandum, and an audiometry test is being done.

It’s worth noting that the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 currently prohibits processions and gatherings. This raises questions about whether this procession had permission or if the administration was unaware of it.
