In a heart-wrenching incident from Ghaziabad, a young woman died by suicide after her boyfriend, Islamist Faraz, ignored her repeated calls. Based on the reports from Jagran, on December 11, in Chandrapuri, the woman reportedly made 120 calls to Faraz, but he did not answer. Frustrated and distraught, she left a voice note before setting herself on fire. The police investigation has since uncovered startling details, including evidence of religious conversion, monetary transfers, and an abortion.

Her father has lodged a complaint accusing Islamist Faraz Attar, a resident of Shahdara in Delhi, of deceiving his daughter into a relationship, sexually assaulting her, and coercing her into converting to Islam. The father alleges that the relentless harassment drove her to take the drastic step of self-immolation.
The police have filed a case against Faraz Attar and his family in connection with the incident. According to reports, a 70-year-old retired businessman residing in the Kavinagar police station area stated that the accused targeted his 30-year-old daughter years ago with the intent of usurping her property, valued at approximately ₹20 crore and registered in her name. Islamist Faraz allegedly misled her into believing he was unmarried, gaining her trust before subjecting her to physical, emotional, and financial exploitation.
Based on the reports from OpIndia, Faraz allegedly extracted large sums of money from the victim under the pretext of settling his debts. The victim’s father noted a drastic change in her behavior over a few months. On November 14, he discovered her practicing rituals of Islamism, which left him deeply disturbed. The stress from his daughter’s situation reportedly led to a brain stroke, and he was subsequently admitted to a private hospital in Delhi for treatment.
While the father was in the ICU, Islamist Faraz took the opportunity to manipulate the family further. He brought the victim to the hospital under the guise of a visit and pressured the father to consent to their marriage. Exploiting the father’s vulnerable state, Faraz coerced him into signing a document stating he had no objection to his daughter’s marriage to someone from the Islamic community. This, according to the father, was done on the direction of Islamist Faraz’s brother, Kasif, who claimed to be a Supreme Court lawyer. Faraz also made the father swear on his daughter not to disclose their relationship to other family members.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) City, Rajesh Kumar, confirmed that a case has been registered against Faraz Attar, a resident of Shahdara, along with his brother Kasif, mother Mahe Talat, and sister Sana. The charges include conversion, rape, abetment to suicide, and other offenses. Kumar stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the accused. According to the complaint, the victim confided in her father, revealing that Faraz had exploited her sexually and financially, using her solely to gain control of her property. The father also alleged that his daughter was coerced into undergoing multiple abortions.
The complaint further disclosed that Islamist Faraz had arranged for a tutor to teach the victim Islamic practices and religious texts. The father suspected that Faraz might have used drugs to manipulate and control his daughter. On November 24, Faraz invited the victim and her father to a hotel in Kaushambi, where they were introduced to his brother, mother, and sister. The victim bore all the expenses for this meeting.
On December 5, the victim had prepared the necessary documents for their marriage, but Faraz delayed the date, citing various reasons. On December 10, the victim informed her father that Faraz had made an outrageous demand—he would only proceed with the marriage if her father legally recognized him as the heir to the family’s properties. This ultimatum left the victim devastated. The following day, overwhelmed by despair, she set herself on fire at their home in Chandrapuri.
This heartbreaking incident underscores the immense helplessness and suffering endured by the Hindu girl, who was preyed upon by manipulative and predatory tactics by the Islamists. The disturbing behavior of the accused reveals a calculated attempt to exploit and control, ultimately leading to a tragedy. Such acts, targeting Hindu individuals, especially young Hindu women, cannot be condoned.
