“ED files 3000 page chargesheet against Senthil Balaji; Sessions Court sends him to judicial custody till 25 August”, Swarajyamag, August 12, 2023:

“The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today (12 August), filed a chargesheet against minister Senthil Balaji in the cash-for-jobs scam that occurred during his tenure as Transport minister.

The chargesheet along with an annexure of evidence runs into over 3000 pages. He was produced before S Alli, the Principal Sessions judge in Chennai, after the conclusion of his ED custody.

The judge remanded him to judicial custody till 25 August. According to a report by DTNext, the ED’s plea for further custody was not granted and Balaji’s counsel, NR Elango would apply for bail on 16 August…..”
