Dilkhush Zarra raped a 10-year-old in Dagarua police station area, in Purnea district of Bihar around the time of jumma namaz on Friday. When the child started bleeding profusely, he stuffed sand in her genitals.
The accused has now been arrested.
The child was playing with other children when Zarra threw sand and scared the other kids away, before gagging the victim and taking her to a maize field. After raping her, he stuffed sand inside her private parts to stop bleeding.
One notable thing about this crime is that while several media outlets have reported it (Deccan Herald, Times Now, India TV), many carrying an IANS news feed, almost all of them have failed to name the accused, including some Hindi media outlets like Dainik Bhaskar.

Some media reports have stated that the crime took place on 8 April, but Bihar Police has confirmed that the crime took place on Friday, April 7. A local news report shared by @AshwiniSahaya also confirms that the crime took place at the time of jumma namaz (Friday congregational prayers, which are mandatory for all adult Muslim males).
Bihar Police also posted about the crime on twitter, but for some reason did not name the man accused of this heinous crime, raising eyebrows given how they have shown unusual alacrity in naming even minutest details about YouTuber Manish Kashyap, arrested for ‘fake videos’.
For those who have been following and studying how the secular state and media tackle such crimes, such subterfuge and subtle psychological manipulation of citizens is not new.
Is Dilkhush Zarra a human? If he were in Saudia Arabia, he would have been beheaded by now! Because of very soft Indian judiciary that takes much time to deliver the ultimate verdict, such scoundrels have been growing by leaps and bounds.
