Deepika Bharadwaj, who converted to Islam after marrying Wasim Hussain, accused of harassing her mother for property: UP

In a recent incident in Rajnagar, a woman named Preetika Bhardwaj filed a report at Nandgram police station accusing her elder sister, Deepika, of converting to Islam and marrying Wasim Hussain in 2016, adopting the name Ahana Fatima. Preetika claimed that following the marriage, their parents evicted Deepika from their property. This whole incident of conversion and marrying a Muslim guy caused the death of her father.

Preetika mentioned in her report that after their father’s demise, their mother registered the house in Jagriti Vihar under her name to prevent Deepika from claiming it. According to Preetika, her sister, along with a young man wearing a skull cap, was present in Jagriti Vihar last month when she visited with her husband. Preetika alleges that her sister, who had divorced Wasim after taking Rs 20 lakh from him, threatened her to stay away from the house.

Additionally, Ahana has reportedly registered her name as a nominee in their mother’s bank FD. Preetika expressed fear that her sister might try to convert their mother. The police have registered a report against Deepika alias Ahana, another Muslim youth, Anubhav Tyagi, and Karan Singh, and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
