College student abducted and gangraped by three men in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh

A female college was abducted and taken to a secluded place, where she was allegedly gangraped by three young men in a village in Deoria on Saturday afternoon.

This shocking incident occurred when the victim was returning to her home in a village under the jurisdiction of the Madanpur police station in the Deoria district after attending college in Barhaj, Deoria.

ASP Rajesh Kumar confirmed that the police had registered a case under the appropriate sections once the victim’s family lodged a formal complaint, but no arrests had been made yet.

The Circle officer Barhaj, Anshuman Srivastava said that the Police team is investigating this case. Police has already fetched the CCTV footage from the nearby areas and trying to identify the suspects. He also stated that the medical report of the victim is still pending to confirm the gangrape.

As per the Police, three men were waiting for the victim girl, they attacked her from behind, dragged her to a secluded place, where they raped her, and left her unconscious before fleeing the crime scene.

Later, when the victim regained consciousness, she somehow reached her home and explained her harrowing experience to her mother, who then admitted her to Devrahva Baba Medical College, and then reported this incident to the Police.

The SP Deoria Sankalp Sharma reached the hospital and gathered the required information from the victim and her family. Based on the given information, multiple teams have been created to investigate the case and nab the criminals.
