Tension in Karimganj district of Assam after the principal allegedly raped a minor Hindu girl student inside the school. Although the Assam’s Education Department suspended the accused teacher, the accused is still absconding.
Per the received information, accused Asar Uddin, principal of Bhanga Madhyamik Vidyalaya, raped a girl student inside his office on Friday. The girl is a minor and belongs to the Hindu community.
As the news spread, the situation became tense. Members of several organisations, including Bajrang Dal and Hindu Rakshi Vahini, staged a protest in front of the SP office, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused teacher.
After the outrage of locals, Assam’s Education department suspended the accused teacher. Till now, accused Asar Uddin is absconding.
Locals said that this is not new. In the past, several girl students alleged molestation against Asar Uddin. Whenever using his political connections, the accused compromised or suppressed the matter.
