Tension erupted in the Morigaon district of Assam as locals caught a cattle thief. Angry locals beat up the cattle thief and torched the vehicle. Later, the police reached the spot and recovered the accused cattle thief. Later, the police arrested him.
The cattle thief has been identified as Jahoor Ali.
On the evening of the 19th of October, locals caught a pickup vehicle in Teteliguri village under the Mayong Police Station of Morigaon district. Locals beat up Jahoor Ali in the spot. Later, angry locals torched the vehicle.
Some locals said that for the last few months, cattle thefts have been happening in the area. Many local villagers are even guarding the entrance of the village. That evening, some locals caught the car.
As of now, tension prevails in the area.
