Now, a Hindu woman from Jorabat became a victim of Love Jihad.
On the 2nd of August morning, the dead body of Rita Boro(29) was found in front of her home. When police reached the spot to recover the body, locals were agitated and demanded to arrest a youth named Hasmat Ali. Somehow, police managed to recover the body after promising to arrest the accused.
Locals alleged that Rita Boro lived alone in her home in the 15 Mile area of Jorabat under Sonapur Police Station. Her husband is a migrant labourer and doesn’t live with her. Meantime, Rita Boro developed an illicit affair with Hasmat Ali. Hasmat Ali has small businesses in scrap dealing.
The next day, the main accused Hasmat Ali surrendered in Hajo Police Station. As per sources, Hasmat confessed his crime. On the night of the incident, a brawl broke out between them and he murdered Rita with a sharp weapon. Later, he dumped her body in the garden in front of her house and fled.
