Assam: A minor Hindu girl is allegedly raped and murdered in Bongaigaon; the Police arrested Sarfaraz Hussain

In a shocking incident, a minor Hindu girl(16) was allegedly raped and murdered in Bongaigaon district of Assam. Based on the complaint, the Police detained a youth named Sarfaraz Hussain.

The minor Hindu girl, a resident of the North West Colony of Bongaigaon town, went missing on the 5th of March. The family lodged a missing complaint. But the Police couldn’t find the girl.

On the night of the 8th of March, Friday, locals saw a dead body in a bush near the New Bongaigaon rail market. The family identified the girl as their daughter.

As the news spread, the area’s situation took a different turn. Massive protests rocked the streets. Thousands of local Hindus blocked roads, marched and demanded strong action against the accused.

The protest was so intense that the Police used barricades to control the angry crowd.

Some protesters alleged that police lathi-charged them.

Later, the family filed a complaint at the Bongaigaon Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police detained a youth named Sarfaraz Hussain.

The locals alleged that Jihadi Sarfaraz Hussain lured the girl in love and tricked her to flee from home. Then, Sarfaraz and his friends raped and murdered the minor girl.
