Arrested: Goonda Harris who forced a Kathakali artist to be a drug mule in Ernakulam

Following a complaint of sexual harassment from a Kathakali artiste, P H Harris, an associate of the notorious gangsters and terrorists, was taken into police custody. The Ernakulam Central Police registered a case against Harris under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities Act (SC-ST Act) on the complaint of the victim belonging to the Dalit community.

Harris trapped the Kathakali artist by offering her a show in Dubai. According to Harris’ instructions, the woman arrived near the Ernakulam High Court. The complaint is that in exchange for helping to present the program in Dubai, the victim was asked to go to Bengaluru and deliver narcotic drugs to Kochi as instructed by Harris’ gang members.

But when the young woman refused, she was locked in the car, and two of Harris’s accomplices physically assaulted her. The complaint alleged that Harris trashed the woman and spoke to her in a sexually tainted tone.

Harris is also Edapally Feroze’s main accomplice. Feroze is a notorious gangster who is in jail in suspected terrorist cases. He controls an underworld group based in Ernakulam. Feroze is a close relative of Kannur native terrorist Thadiyantevida Nazeer, alias Haji Ustad, alias Umar Haji.

Nazeer is the ground worker of terrorist Abdul Nazar Madani. Nazeer went into hiding somewhere in north Bharat, came in contact with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives, crossed over to Pakistan to get trained in the terror outfit and returned to Bharat. For his role in bomb blasts and transport bus arson cases, Nazeer is in jail.

Harris was arrested by the Panangad police and handed over to the Ernakulam Central Police, who are investigating the case. After the case was registered, he went on the run and was caught by Panangad SI Harishankar following a chase.

Harris, a native of Nettoor, is a regular criminal in Kochi and a Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention)Act (KAAPA) accused. He is also charged with extorting lakhs by promising the public central government contracts.

The case is against three people: Harris, Ananthu and KD Dileesh. Police have launched an investigation to trace the two accomplices. Ernakulam Central ACP V.K. Raju said they are conducting a detailed investigation.

Harris was once the right-hand man of Ernakulam gangster Maradu Anish. There were also reports that Harris cheated Anish and stole 1.5 crore rupees. Anish’s gang assaulted Harris for this, but after Anish was arrested in a case, Harris continued his criminal activities. The police arrested Anish towards the end of last year.

There are complaints that justice has been denied to the victims due to police negligence. It is alleged that political interference is taking place to protect Harris. Mainstream media neglected the incident.
