“After Islamists run riots in Nuh, Centre deploys 20 companies of paramilitary forces to Haryana”, Opindia, August 1, 2023:

“Hours after Islamists unleashed violence in the Nuh district of Haryana, the Union government deployed 20 companies (about 2000 personnel) of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to bring the law and order situation under control.

The Additional Chief Secretary (Home) of the Haryana government had written to the Centre for the immediate deployment of paramilitary forces. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs complied with the request and deployed 20 companies of CAPF in Nuh till August 6, 2023.

The contingent includes 4 companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 2 companies of the Border Security Force (BSF), 2 companies of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and 12 companies of the Rapid Action Force (RAF)……”
