The world is struggling to find a cure for the Coronavirus pandemic, countless people have been tested positive for the deadly contagion and thousands have lost their lives. The Prime Minister has called for a country-wide lock-down to keep the pandemic from percolating through our densely populated country. Doctors, politicians, celebrities and all influential members of the society have been incessantly urging people to abide by health advisories, maintain social distance, wear masks and wash hands at regular intervals.
But Muslim hardliners on Tik Tok, with combined follower-ship running in millions, have decided to exploit this world health crisis to further their irrational religious beliefs. These Tik Tok users can be seen dissuading co-religionists from using masks, encouraging them to eat from each-other’s plates, hug and shake hands for the interest of ‘Sunnat’ (traditions of Mohammed as recorded in Islamic texts like Hadith).
In the video below, a reluctant Muslim hesitates from shaking hands, given the present contagious situation. But the ‘hero’ of the scene, in a bizarre way, convinces him to follow the Islamic way of greeting each other. “Will you leave Sunnat, and later Islam, fearing death?,” he asks his friends, before adding, “We are Muslims and therefore we are not afraid to die”. The ‘hero’ finally convinces the friend to follow Islamic traditional way of greeting.

In another video, one Muslim ‘enlightens’ the other that sharing jhootha (food or drink which has touched another’s lips) of a Momin (true/faithful) Muslim would lead one to shifa (healing), not any disease like Coronavirus. While our doctors are putting their lives on the line, this religious baloney is afloat on platforms frequented by millions.
While the world is fighting with Corona Virus, this M Virus is spreading Corona even more.. Doctors, officials, social workers are putting their lives at stake to save us..

That social distancing is a must during this volatile time is a globally accepted phenomenon. In Bharat, central and state government have issues strict orders against any breach of the nation-wide lockdown. Now, even some Muslim bodies are advising their followers to stay at home and not congregate in mosques for namaz. But Islamists have flouted these warnings repeatedly and seem to be going scot-free.
These religious maniacs not only endanger themselves, but also the thousands who follow them and take their words as sermons. TikTok viewers are mostly teenagers who are highly susceptible to indoctrination, and are always at risk of emulating these dangerous ‘icons’.
Some have chosen this time to further their diatribe against NRC, a Govt. measure proposed to identify illegal immigrants and thus improve security of all citizens, whether Hindu or Muslim. In this video, three Muslim youth ‘welcome’ Coronavirus to India. They say, “Those demanding citizenship proof from us, now my God (Allah) has started his own NRC…He will decide who stays and who goes”. Now who will tell these idiots that a high proportion of Coronavirus cases in Bharat today are of Muslims who have returned from Muslim pilgrimage in Saudi or Iran, or from Dubai?

Misusing this pandemic as a pathway to preach Islam, Islamists of TikTok have even resorted to dawah (Islamic evangelism) on the video sharing platform. In the below videos, believers claim that performing Namaz five times a day grants ‘immunity’ against Coronavirus. The purposeful pushing of misinformation at such a vital time must not be taken lightly.

This is not the first time, that Islamist youth have attempted to incite civil disobedience using Tik Tok. Back in June 2019, Tik-Tok users Hasnain Khan, Faisal Shaikh, Adnan Shaikh, Shadan Farooqui, and Faiz Baloch had come under the radar for their provocative video, in which they said, “You killed innocent Tabrez Ansari, but tomorrow if his children take revenge, do not say that all Muslims are terrorists.” This was after shortly after a thief Tabrez Ansari was caught red-handed in Jharkhand, beaten up by locals, handed over to police and died of cardiac arrest a few days later. Mumbai Police had registered cases against them under sections 153A, and 34, and their Tik-Tok id was suspended temporarily.
It is time the government take stringent actions against every Tik Tok user who is peddling lies on the platform to further their religious fanaticism. The Government of Bharat must register FIRs against these people and they must be tried under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code for endangering public health, promulgating lies, inducing religion conversions, and contravening government orders.
In this situation, the silence of Muslim celebrities in Bollywood – Naseeruddin Shah, Javed Akhtar, and Javed Jafri for instance – who otherwise are quick to denounce the whole country for perceived ‘targeting’ of Muslims, is also worrying. Why don’t they educate these indoctrinated Muslim youth, help them understand the threat of Covid-19 and prevent them from becoming bio-weapons transmitting the virus throughout the country?
