In a distressing incident revealed in the Kakadeo police station area, Faiz Malik created a fake Instagram ID under the name Ankit Thakur to befriend a minor girl under the pretence of helping her secure a job. Malik persuaded the girl to accompany him in his friend’s car, where he spiked her cold drink and raped her. He also recorded obscene videos and took photographs of the assault.
Based on the reports from OpIndia, the Islamic perpetrator coerced her and forced her to convert to Islam. The victim, accompanied by Bajrang Dal activists, reported the incident to the police. Following the orders of the Police Commissioner, a case was registered under serious charges.
Radical Islamism, forced conversion attempts and Bajrang dal came for rescue
Upon the arrival of the victim at the police station accompanied by Bajrang Dal activists, authorities initiated an investigation into claims that Malik had already coerced the conversion of two Hindu Brahmin girls to Islam and was exerting pressure on the victim for a similar conversion.
She recounted an encounter dating back to April 2023, where she engaged with a youth named Ankit Thakur on Instagram. Sharing her vulnerable familial circumstances—having lost her father in 2015 and being abandoned by her mother—she detailed how Ankit, later revealed as Faiz Malik, lured her, drugged her with a spiked cold beverage during a car ride with friends, and proceeded to perpetrate heinous acts, recording indecent videos and capturing photos.
The victim further alleged that Ankit, now identified as Malik, relentlessly pressured her into religious conversion. Upon her refusal, he resorted to severe physical assaults and even attempted to harm her with sharp weapons, threatening to disseminate the compromising footage on social media. Shockingly, she revealed that she wasn’t the only victim; two other young women had faced similar ordeals at Malik’s hands.
Kakadev police station’s in-charge, KP Gaur, confirmed the arrest of Malik. Charges have been filed under multiple sections, including rape, POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses), coercion for conversion, and the IT Act. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Bajrang Dal leader Krishna Tiwari highlighted a disturbing trend of rapid conversions unfolding in Kanpur. In a recent revelation, he shed light on a case involving a minor girl who fell prey to Islamists through social media channels. Trapped in their web, the perpetrators subjected her to physical abuse and coercion for religious conversion.
Alarmingly, in Karnataka, two additional young women have reportedly been ensnared and have already undergone conversion, suggesting the involvement of a larger network. Tiwari emphasized Bajrang Dal’s staunch opposition to such activities. The Bajrang Dal has long been regarded as a guardian for Hindus, standing firm against the persistent encroachment of radical ideologies perpetrated by Islamist groups, especially in their targeting of Hindu girls.
