Jamaat-e-Islami backed Equality Labs runs disinformation war against Bharat

A web of notorious elements comprising journalists, writers, think-tanks, NGOs, newspapers and media outlets are running cruel propaganda against Bharat with the agenda of destabilizing the country by spreading seeds of hatred within people. One of the prominent platforms in this vicious agenda is Equality Labs, which claims to be a progressive organization “to combat caste discrimination”, was founded by a Dalit techie and activist named Thenmonzhi Soundararajan, born and brought up in the United States.

While Equality Labs has been operating since 2016, it was registered only in 2022 as Equality Labs LLC., in Delaware (March 2022, registration number 202251715748) and in California in July 2022. Founder of Equality Labs, Thenmonzhi Soundararajan was working on grants from Open Society Institute – an organization funded by George Soros.

It may be mentioned here that Equality Labs has members with questionable backgrounds and affiliations, which include Sharmin Hossain, a Bangladeshi American who served as the Political Director of the organization. Sharmin is the daughter of Mohamed Hossain, a Bangladesh national and a former socialist student organizer with Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD). She also is the 2015 Open Society Youth Exchange Fellow under which she founded the Bangladeshi Historical Memory Project.

Jatiya Samajtantril Dal (JCD) has an extremely disturbing background proving its anti-Bharat ideology.

On November 26, 1975, a group of armed members of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), a notoriously anti-Bharat political organization in Bangladesh attempted to kidnap Samar Sen, Bharatiya High Commissioner in Dhaka. According to a media report, as soon as the High Commissioner got out of his car, six JSD men raised their weapons and said, “Mr. Sen, you are a hostage in our hands. Let’s go up”.

At this unexpected situation, Samar Sen turned astonished, shocked and speechless. He was so terrified; he could not even walk. The armed man dragged him upstairs. At that time, security personnel at the Bharatkiya High Commission opened fire, resulting in the death of four miscreants of JSD while Samar Sen was also seriously injured.

Following this incident, members of diplomatic missions in Bangladesh became extremely worried. Davis Eugene Boster, the then US ambassador to Dhaka, sent a cable to Washington on November 26, 1975 giving details of the incident. In his cable, ambassador Davis Eugene Boster stated, “Six youths, disguised as visitors, took out revolvers from their pockets and moved towards him (Samar Sen). At this time, the security guards on duty rushed in and exchanged fire. The assailants proceeded towards the reception. The security guards opened fire with stun guns, killing six. Four revolvers were recovered from the abductors and they were aged between 20 and 25”.

What is yet to get published in the media is – the entire incident took place at indirect approval of military dictator Ziaur Rahman – who later founded Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), a party connected to Al Qaeda.

According to an article published in The Indian Defence Review, on November 26, 1975 – same day when JSD men attempted to kidnap Indian High Commissioner Samar Sen, Major General Ziaur Rahman told US Chargé d’Affaires in Dhaka, Irving G. Cheslaw that he feared an Bharatiya military invasion in a few days and asked the US to put pressure on Bharat to “stop this madness”. Zia said, “India should be made to realize that this is not 1971. This is 1975 and they will find a military force of sixty thousand and a population of seventy-five million that will present enormous problems for New Delhi”.

It may be mentioned here that Gen Zia, a notoriously anti-Bharat individual came to power following the August 15, 1975 coup d’état killing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and members of his family.

On June 11, 2017, Huma Dar attended a rally of Khalistanis in San Francisco. She was named as an expert in an organization named ‘Stand with Kashmir’, which is funded by Pakistani ISI.

In 2019, Huma Dar began calling for the Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions Movement against Bharat, which is jointly sponsored by Muslim Brotherhood and Pakistani ISI.For years, Equality Labs has been actively pushing anti-Bharat contents to various news outlets as well as several journalists and writers in the Western nations, especially France.

With massive amounts of cash provided by George Soros’ Open Society Foundation (OSF) and others, while Pakistani ISI has also been covertly funding anti-Bharat propaganda and disinformation projects of Equality Labs. With these huge cash flows, Equality Labs also has successfully infiltrated a large number of media outlets in Bharat, while dozens of journalists are also getting financial benefits for promoting agenda-based narratives mainly targeting Bharat’s democracy and sovereignty.
