The persecution of the Hindu minorities and the attacks on the Hindu temples continue in Muslim-majority Bangladesh. Now, a Hindu temple is attacked in the Chattragram district.
As per the reports, the temple is situated in the Sarkar market under the jurisdiction of Hathazari Police Station. On the morning of the 23rd of January, 2025; local Hindus noticed that the gate and a part of the wall of the Sri Sri Jwalakumari Mata temple are broken. Soon, others reached the premises.
They found that all the valuable ornaments of the Vigrah were stolen. Also, a donation box of the temple were broken and all the money was taken.
Meanwhile, the temple committee informed the police. A team of the Police officials inspected the temple and launched an investigation. The Police promised to identify and arrest the accused as soon as possible, said local sources.
