Under the aegis of the Indraprasth Adhyayan Kendra (Shikshak Shreni), a special seminar on the theme “Bharat’s Security Challenges: In the Context of Neighboring Countries” was successfully organized on 24th September, 2025 at the prestigious Seminar Hall of Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and deep discussions.

The seminar aimed to establish a meaningful dialogue on current national security challenges, the evolving scenario created by neighboring countries, and various aspects of Bharat’s foreign policy.

Keynote Speaker Major Gaurav Arya (Security Expert & Independent Thinker) spoke in detail about the pressing security concerns facing Bharat, including cross-border terrorism, economic pressures, and the strategic approaches of neighboring nations. He emphasized that Bharat’s land borders are highly diverse and require both strategic vigilance and a strong multilateral diplomatic approach. Issues such as infiltration, terrorism, and cyber threats, he said, are emerging as major challenges to national security.

Guest of Honour, Professor Geeta Bhatt (Director, NCWEB, University of Delhi), highlighted the importance of political, economic, and social cooperation, along with regional stability. She underlined that fostering stability and friendship with neighboring countries through multilateral dialogue and shared cultural values is the need of the hour.

The seminar was presided over by Professor Dinesh Khattar, Principal of Kirori Mal College. In his welcome address, Prof. Rakesh Kumar Pandey clearly outlined the objectives and significance of the event. The presence and guidance of Shri Ajey Kumar Ji, Akhil Bharatiya Abhilekhagar Pramukh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, added great value to the occasion. The seminar proceedings were conducted by Dr. Sanjay Atri.

The program saw the active participation of faculty members, research scholars, and a large number of students. During the dialogue, significant issues such as Bharat’s internal and external security, rising instability in the neighborhood, management of defense resources, and regional cooperation were extensively discussed.

The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Shri Abhinav Kumar, Shri Chandra Negi, along with Shri Lalit Parashar, Shrimati Monika Puri Sethi, Shri Sunil Kashyap, Shri Tarun Garg, Shri Kumar Satyam, and other members associated with the Indraprasth Adhyayan Kendra.
