The National Service Scheme (NSS) at IIT Patna proudly organized a special event in celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, as part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. The event was honored by the presence of Director Prof. T.N. Singh, Associate Dean of Student Affairs Prof. P.K. Tiwari, faculty members, staff, and an enthusiastic group of students.
The day commenced with a spirited Cleanliness Drive in front of the Student Activity Centre (SAC) Building, where participants demonstrated their commitment to cleanliness and environmental stewardship. This initiative not only promoted a clean campus but also underscored the importance of community involvement in maintaining hygiene.
Following the drive, the NSS team distributed essential kits to sanitation workers, acknowledging their vital contributions to society. The occasion also featured a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the winners of various competitions organized by NSS, highlighting the creative engagement of students in promoting cleanliness.
An exhibition was held to showcase the significant contributions of NSS volunteers in advancing the cause of cleanliness within the community. This platform allowed participants to reflect on their impactful work and the positive changes achieved through collective efforts.
The event concluded with a rally to Amhara School in Bihta, where NSS volunteers raised awareness about hygiene and cleanliness among local students. Through engaging activities and informative discussions, the volunteers inspired young minds to embrace cleanliness as a way of life.
