An Isha Yoga practitioner recounts her experiences

Advanced yogis from the Himalayas do their sadhana at Isha. There was this one time at the Ashram, a hardened yogi from Rishikesh sat in meditation in Dhyanalinga for 13 hours straight, fell at Sadhguru’s feet shedding tears and silently walked away.

Universal consciousness – everything is One – which is just a theory now, can be experientially realised in the Bhava Spandana program at Isha. Once you do this program, you will know you and a plant are one. You and a stranger are one. Your logical mind would crumble.

Every person who has been associated with Isha has had miraculous things happen to them. Unbelievable things. We don’t speak about it outside because it is gross to do so. You can have a glimpse of it in the ‘Humans of Isha’ YouTube channel.

It is not uncommon for strangers who had no clue about Sadhguru to come screaming Shiva and cry copiously falling at his feet. So many people have recollected their past life memories, some even glimpses of the time they were reptiles.

Some first time visitors to Dhyanalinga are shocked they knew nothing about meditation before but now hours passed away in meditation. As for me, my mind becomes still in the presence of Dhyanalinga. Even if I force myself to think, my mind draws back to stillness.

The followers do a min 40 minute Sadhana, going upto 5 hours or more. You would be suprised to see the kind of discipline, steadfastedness of thousands of youth, who do not miss their daily Sadhana for anything. They’ve been doing for years without a day’s break.

Pandits from Kashi conduct the Sapta Rishi Arati at Isha every year. You can read the interviews of those Pandits who cried profusely after meeting Sadhguru and claim He is like Shiva Himself.

Miniature Linga Bhairavi temples are established in co-ordination with businesses and a community of people to create consecarted spaces where they live or operate. Hundreds of such mini temples are built by Isha all over the country.

Isha employs thousands of poor hindus, tribals from the area and elsewhere. Apart from the many social projects, they are also a pillar of support for these communities.

Isha’s traditional school Samskriti is training children in yoga, traditional arts, samskrta, music, martial arts, medicine and more. You would see small 8 year olds sitting still in meditation. These children will be some of the most balanced human beings on the planet.

What I am trying to say is, you look at Sadhguru and He is everything opposite to tradition and you conclude so much. There is a lot more, A LOT more to Him than you can possibly guess.
