“Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recently visited the Ram Mandir. It was an exclusive trip, not a stopover clubbed with official business. Speaking to the media after darshan, he praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s governance in Uttar Pradesh and described ‘Ram Rajya’ as the benchmark for good administration.

One might ask what is so surprising here, given that NDA allies like Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan routinely echo the Bharatiya Janata Party’s themes. In Andhra too, Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan’s comments on Hindu issues often sound indistinguishable from those of BJP leaders.

Further, Naidu himself is known to visit temples in the state quite often. Sometimes he goes alone; at other times, he is accompanied by his family: wife Bhuvaneshwari, son Lokesh, daughter-in-law Brahmani, and grandson Devaansh. While some may view this as merely currying favour with the Centre, it would be simplistic to dismiss the Ayodhya visit as routine……”
