“SP chief Akhilesh Yadav spreads misinformation claiming Goa-bound Vande Bharat lost its track and took a different route, Railways fact-check him”, Opindia, December 24, 2024:

“On Tuesday, 24th December, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav shot himself in the foot after he was fact-checked by the Railways for spreading misinformation regarding the Vande Bharat train en route to Goa from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai.

He indicated that the Vande Bharat train that was supposed to reach Goa lost its way and reached Thane region in Maharashtra’s Mumbai instead. However, the rail authorities slammed the leader for spreading misinformation and said that it had ultimately reached its destined station at Madgaon in Goa.

“Rasta bhatak gayi Vande Bharat’ – jana tha Goa, nikal gayi Kalyan (Vande Bharat lost its way – was supposed to go to Goa but ended up in Kalyan),” Yadav said in an X post calling BJP government as ‘double blunder’ government and not ‘double engine’ one……”
