The Congress-led Karnataka government has once again showcased its disturbing insensitivity towards crimes, particularly those involving sexual violence and attacks on the Hindu community. As per India Today, Home Minister G. Parameshwara’s shocking statement — trivializing rape by saying, “Such incidents happen here and there in big cities”—is “not only unacceptable but a shameful reflection of the ruling government’s dismissive attitude towards women’s safety and public accountability.
This isn’t an isolated case. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah himself earlier made a disgraceful attempt to deflect blame during a gang rape incident near KR Market in Bengaluru, asking, “Didn’t any rape happen during BJP rule?” — a statement that sought to politicize a deeply traumatic crime rather than ensuring justice for the victim.
Under Congress rule, Karnataka has witnessed a disturbing spike in heinous crimes — ranging from sexual assaults, temple desecrations, and attacks on Hindu individuals — yet there is a consistent pattern of downplaying or outright denying the gravity of these incidents. The administration’s priorities seem misplaced, and law enforcement remains directionless, as evident from increasing reports of unchecked violence.
The Hindu community, in particular, has been at the receiving end of targeted crimes, while the state government has remained a mute spectator. From the lack of swift action in communal violence cases to the failure in protecting women and minors, the Congress government in Karnataka is fast losing public trust.
The horrifying rape of a 19-year-old Hindu girl from Bihar near KR Puram railway station by Asif and Syed Mushar — both allegedly illegal immigrants — is not just a crime against one woman but a brutal attack on the dignity and safety of the Hindu community in Karnataka. This heinous incident, which took place in the heart of Bengaluru, remained buried from the public eye for days. The silence from the Congress government is deafening. Instead of demanding justice, leaders like G. Parameshwara and Siddaramaiah have chosen to belittle the seriousness of these crimes with casual, insensitive, and politically loaded statements.
Another shocking video also went viral recently, showing a young girl being harassed in broad daylight while walking on a street in Bengaluru.
What we are witnessing is not just administrative failure — it’s a deliberate act of ignorance. When crimes repeatedly target Hindus, especially women, and when illegal immigrants feel emboldened to commit such acts, the question that haunts every citizen is — is this government even interested in protecting its own people?
The Congress regime in Karnataka has surrendered law and order to vote-bank politics. Their selective outrage, muted responses, and blanket denials in the face of rising crimes against Hindus expose their dangerous priorities.
