“Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], January 7 (ANI): Tamil Nadu’s opposition party, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), on Tuesday submitted a dossier to Governor R. N. Ravi, alleging that the ruling DMK has been looting the state by borrowing nearly 1 lakh crore every year and increasing Tamil Nadu’s debt burden by over 4 lakh crore in the past 56 months.

According to the AIADMK, this pattern of reckless borrowing reflects the DMK government’s administrative incompetence.

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami said, “Except for indulging in corruption, the DMK has done nothing beneficial for the people of Tamil Nadu. The DMK has committed large-scale corruption across several government departments, and we have conveyed this to the Governor. We have submitted department-wise complaints with evidence to the Governor regarding the corruption. Governance is not functioning properly, and the law-and-order situation is in disarray. Corruption amounting to Rs 4 lakh crore has taken place across various departments over the last four and a h years……”
