In a heart-wrenching revelation at the Gopalganj City Police Station, a Hindu girl exposed the barbaric acts of an Islamist youth who deceived and victimized her under the guise of love. Based on the reports from Jagran, the accused, Islamist Sameer Sehgal, whose real name is Tabrez, trapped the girl in a love jihad scheme, subjected her to repeated assaults, and attempted to forcefully convert her to Islam. The harrowing details of her ordeal, involving rape, blackmail, and forced abortions, have sparked outrage.
The victim narrated that Islamist Sameer, a school operator, had presented himself as a Hindu to gain her trust. Luring her with false promises of higher education, he took her to Bengal, where he raped her and captured explicit photographs to use as blackmail. When the girl discovered his real identity, she resisted, but the abuse only escalated. Her protests were silenced with threats and coercion.
Three pregnancies, three abortions
The girl disclosed that she became pregnant three times due to the repeated sexual assaults. Each time, she was forced to undergo an abortion against her will. On one occasion, her name was fraudulently registered as Alisa Khatun at the hospital to facilitate the procedure, showcasing the lengths to which the accused went to erase her identity.
Despite her protests, Islamist Tabrez and his family relentlessly pressured her to convert to Islam. They attempted to force her to offer namaz and read the Quran. When she resisted, she was subjected to inhumane treatment, including confinement in a room without food.
Tired of the brutal torture, the girl managed to escape last Friday and reached the Gopalganj City Police Station to file a formal complaint. Her statement has led to an FIR against the accused. Sadar SDPO Pranjal confirmed that the police are investigating the matter and have conducted a medical examination of the victim. Raids are underway to apprehend the accused.
Islamist tactics: trap and extortion
This case is yet another chilling example of the growing menace of love jihad, where Hindu girls are systematically targeted, exploited, and coerced into religious conversions.
