TN govt schools “celebrate” “Pride month” with marches & gender sensitisation sessions; Is TN going woke?

Chennai “celebrated” Pride Month with a “pride march” recently. What is worrying is the growing number of such woke pride ambassadors who turned up for the event.

It was shocking to see minors/school children also participating in the parade/march. Two 12th-standard students were interviewed at the Chennai Pride event by a channel named Yellow Bench. One of the girls stated she was “bisexual”, and when asked if her parents knew of this, she said, “No, I have not told this to my parents or other family members. I am not scared of telling them, but I do not want them to know; they will not do anything even if they know.”

Another girl claiming to be “pansexual” also from Class 12 stated, “Basically I do not care what your gender is if I like you, that is it, you can be anything you want to be – bi, trans, blah blah blah, I honestly don’t know what genders are even there. I can like anyone. I feel love is a headache. Marriage is even bigger.”

Additionally, TN Model schools celebrated this Pride month in June 2024, and the students had “gender sensitisation” lectures. Injecting this woke virus seems to be part of the agenda of the ruling DMK government.

In June 2024, Coimbatore Model School in RS Puram held a pride march, with 200 students waving rainbow flags to demonstrate their “support” for the LGBTQIA+ community. The students engaged in discussions on various gender identities. They participated in a “gender sensitisation” session to learn about Pride Month, its history, and the different genders and sexual orientations within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. Notably, a trans person interacted with the students, answering their questions.

The event also saw the participation of authorities from the TN Model Schools. This “initiative” appears to have been replicated across all Tamil Nadu Model Schools in 38 districts, as revealed at the Chennai Pride event this month.

Notably, the DMK’s leader, Trichy Siva, introduced the Transgender Bill in 2014, which seems to have set many things rolling, including marches and parades in the city.

Children from classes 9-12 are the target audience of these sensitisation lessons. Worryingly, this was done in the government schools across the 38 districts in the state.

While one might think Tamil Nadu is very conservative, it does not seem so as we dig deeper. The spread of this woke virus has reached even the most conservative lands of the country, and it is showing signs of thriving.

Unless parents take action, such sexualisation of minor children through schools will become normal. It is still unclear whether parental consent was taken before involving children in the Pride marches in schools.

The NCPCR needs to take cognisance of this step taken by the TN government targeting vulnerable government school students in the state.

Transgenders have been an integral part of our society since time immemorial. While people in Tamil Nadu generally show sensitivity and respect towards transgenders, the emergence of other groups within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum appears to have overshadowed their movement for rights and opportunities.

Parents need to pay better attention to what their children do at school and keep tabs on what happens in classrooms daily. This will help the children and the parents in many ways. Instilling Dharmic values in children from a younger age will help combat the woke virus effectively.

It is noteworthy that the woke agenda is to shake the very foundation of family culture in Bharat. Brainwashing people who are confused about their “gender” to take a stand against their family over “acceptance and pride of their identity” (pride over what is still unclear; no one won a prize) is a step towards dismantling the family structure in Hindu society.

It is time Hindu parents woke up from their deep slumber and protected their precious children from such viruses. All their lives, parents pray to multiple deities and take numerous treatments to bear a child, and if that child ends up infected by the woke virus, they must ponder the use of going through all that they did only to end up as a woke.

Being woke did no one no good; as the saying goes, “Go woke, go broke”. The time is ripe to come back into the fold and get back to our Dharmic ways.
