Dharwad has been rocked by fresh controversy after Kwaja Bande Nawaz Mohammad Hanif Shirahatti, popularly known as Mukaleppa on YouTube, was accused of marrying a Hindu girl under false pretenses. Bajrang Dal activists have filed a complaint at the Dharwad Rural Police Station, alleging that the YouTuber is involved in Love Jihad and has submitted fake documents during the marriage process.
As per Vijaya Karnataka, according to the complaint, Mukaleppa tied the knot with Gayatri Yallappa Jalihal, a Hindu woman, on June 5, 2025, at the Mundagod Sub-Registrar’s office in Uttara Kannada. Activists allege that he used a fake address to register the marriage. They further accuse him of systematically luring Hindu girls into relationships and deceiving them, claiming this is part of a larger pattern of exploitation.

The Bajrang Dal has also charged Mukaleppa with creating videos that insult Hindu traditions and festivals. His content, they argue, not only mocks sacred practices such as Ganesh Chaturthi but also spreads messages that encourage communal disharmony. In some skits, he has been accused of showing Hindu girls in degrading situations, which activists say is an intentional attempt to humiliate the community.
Mukaleppa has no respect for the Hindu faith and culture, yet he went on to marry a Hindu girl, something that echoes the growing pattern of Love Jihad cases being reported from across Bharat.
Following the complaint, the Dharwad police summoned both Mukaleppa and his wife, Gayatri, for questioning. While activists insisted she was misled, Gayatri told police she has no problem with her marriage and is living with him out of her own choice. With her testimony, no FIR has yet been registered, and no arrests have been made.
Mukaleppa is a popular Kannada YouTuber with over 2.4 million subscribers, known for his comedy skits on family, friendship, and social issues. Bajrang Dal activists have demanded that his social media accounts on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram be banned, arguing that his content spreads anti-Hindu propaganda.
The standard love jihad playbook
Gayatri’s recent statements attempting to dismiss the Love Jihad allegations against Mukaleppa, alias Khwaja, only expose the tragic pattern playing out across Bharat. She claims that she married him out of love and that her parents initially supported her but later turned against the marriage due to brainwashing. This very narrative of a Hindu girl defending her partner despite evidence and community concerns has become the standard playbook of Love Jihad across the nation. No amount of denial can erase the fact that such unions are systematically weakening Hindu society by targeting vulnerable girls.
Parents realize the betrayal
Even her parents have admitted that they made a grave mistake by trusting Mukaleppa, letting their daughter go with him for shoots, and giving permission for extended tours. They now acknowledge that he misled their daughter and that Hindu society has every right to hold them accountable. This is not an isolated story; it is a reflection of how Hindu families are tricked into giving consent, only to realize later that their trust has been betrayed. The so-called freedom of choice is being weaponized to protect Islamic predatory designs under the garb of love.
A wake-up call for Hindus
Meanwhile, concerned Hindus and netizens have issued a clear warning: if Gayatri continues with this marriage, she must at least ensure her children are raised with Hindu names, Hindu samskaras, and the pride of Shivaji’s history. They urge her not to abandon her dharma, because once the burqa and forced conversion enter the picture, it will be too late to undo the damage. This case should be a wake-up call. Today it is Gayatri; tomorrow it could be another daughter of Bharat. Hindu society must remain vigilant, speak up, and ensure that no family or girl is left vulnerable to the trap of Love Jihad.
