Mohammad Ishaq booked for love jihad, forced conversion, and sexual exploitation after a Hindu woman’s complaint in Bengaluru, KA

A woman in Bengaluru has filed a police complaint against her partner and his family, accusing them of forcing her to convert to Islam for marriage. The case has been registered at the HSR Layout Police Station, and the accused has been identified as Islamist Mohammad Ishaq.

According to police sources, the woman and Ishaq first came into contact on Instagram on October 17, 2024, and developed a relationship over time. As per Ap7am reports, the two reportedly met in person at a mall in Thanisandra on October 30, 2024, where Ishaq allegedly assured her that he would speak to her parents and marry her.

In her complaint, the woman stated that Ishaq later booked a room in Dasarahalli, where he allegedly established a physical relationship with her under the pretext of marriage. She further claimed that the accused continued to exploit her sexually while repeatedly postponing marriage with various excuses.

Over time, the complainant became suspicious of Ishaq’s behavior and discovered that he was involved with several other women. Matters escalated when she learned that Ishaq had become engaged to another woman on September 14, 2025. When she confronted him about the engagement, he allegedly threatened her, warning her not to contact him again and verbally abusing her.

The victim woman also stated that after a suicide attempt, Ishaq’s family reached out to her, suggesting that the issue could be resolved privately. However, according to her statement, Ishaq’s elder brother and brother-in-law allegedly told her that she must convert to Islam if she wished to marry him. They reportedly instructed her to learn namaz within 40 days, saying that marriage discussions would proceed only after conversion.

The incident has sparked widespread attention, with Hindu organisations approaching the woman’s family and describing the case as one of forced religious conversion and jihad. The police have registered the complaint and are conducting a thorough investigation.

Political reactions have followed, with BJP leaders alleging a rise in such cases in Karnataka. Former minister and MLC C.T. Ravi urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe cases of forced conversions and related issues.
State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra also commented that the increasing number of such incidents reflects a failure of law and order under the current government. He accused the Congress administration of minority appeasement, claiming that it has created fear among women and Hindu families in the state.

Meanwhile, police officials have maintained that the investigation is ongoing and that appropriate legal action will be taken once the inquiry is complete. Crimes are steadily increasing in Karnataka under the Islamic-backed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Congress government. Cases of rape, violent crimes, conversion attempts, and attacks during Hindu festivals are on the rise. Unfortunately, the opposition BJP too seems weak and unable to effectively counter this agenda of the Congress. It’s high time that people send a powerful message, demanding strict action and accountability against these radical Islamic atrocities taking place across the state.
