Junaid posed as Aryan Rajput using a fake Instagram profile; trapped and sexually assaulted a Hindu minor: Bijnor, UP

In Uttar Pradesh, an Islamist man named Junaid allegedly created an Instagram profile under the fake name Aryan Rajput and lured an inter-college Hindu minor student into a relationship, after which he sexually assaulted her. The teenage girl had left home on 12 November, telling her family she was going to school, but she did not reach the campus and went missing on that day.

As per Jagran reports, police have arrested the accused Islamist and sent him to jail. The minor Hindu girl victim is a student of an intercollege. She had come into contact with Junaid through Instagram, where he had been using the profile name Aryan Rajput. On 12 November, the girl left home saying she was going to school, but she never reached the campus. When she did not return by evening, her family filed a complaint at the police station, which led to the investigation and the arrest.

Police investigations revealed that the accused, Junaid, a resident of Mahanandpur Doyda in the Pilana area of Sawai Madhopur district, Rajasthan, had created an Instagram account using the fake name Aryan Rajput. He reportedly introduced himself to the girl as a Hindu while communicating with her online. The police stated that he used this fake Hindu identity to lure the minor into a relationship and later sexually assaulted her.

Once it was confirmed that the man’s real name and religious identity were different from what he had presented, investigators also began looking into whether the case involved elements of religious deception. Station House Officer Vikas Kumar said that Junaid has been arrested, produced before the court, and subsequently sent to jail.

This case is not isolated. Across several regions, there have been repeated incidents where individuals hide their real identities, adopt Hindu names online, and use fabricated profiles to target and manipulate Hindu girls.

Recently, in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, a similar incident surfaced where Ahad Khan allegedly posed as Thakur to trap and blackmail a Hindu girl, and the timely intervention of Hindu organizations prevented the assault. These repeated cases of Islamist-mediated blackmail underline the urgent need for stronger digital vigilance, stricter action against identity fraud, and immediate protection mechanisms for vulnerable Hindu minors.
