My marvellous experience with Ma Amirthamma(Mata Amritanandamayi Devi)

Mata Amritanandamayi Devi was born in the year 1953, who is fondly called by her devotees as Amma (“Mother”), is a Spiritual leader, guru and kind hearted humanitarian, who used to hug her devotees as an act of expressing her love and affection on them. She is the chancellor of the popular university Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and her birth name was Sudhamani.

Females are the wonderful creations of the almighty, and, all the females present in the world, are considered as the holy incarnations of Ma Shakti Devi. According to the famous Tamil poet, Sri Kavimani Desikavinayakam Pillai, “One has to do lot of good karmas in order to take birth as a female”.  As per an ancient Tamil Song, proper rain would shower in the places where women are treated with much respect, and all the food crops would grow properly, and our holy mother Mata Amirtananda Mayi is the best female, an affectionate mother, a kind guru, a wonderful saint, in the presentday world. Ma Amirtananda Mayi’s merciful love towards her children cannot be explained in words, since she showers her unconditional mercy on us like the heavy rain.

MY MARVELLOUS EXPERIENCE WITH MA AMIRTHAMMA

Devotees visiting Mata Amritanandamayi’s ashram in Amritapuri, Kerala, would get a pleasant experience of peace, spiritual connection, and transformation. We would readily receive a warm welcome from our divine mother, Amma, which includes a personal interaction, thus by getting comforted and inspired. The ashram environment is very pleasant and we could feel as if we are staying in the heaven.

I (
R. HARISHANKAR), could remember about my first darshan of our divine mother AMMA in Amritapuri, and there I was very much attracted by her holiness. I found myself standing before my precious divine mother. This was one of the holy darshans, I have since had it from her.

On some occasions, I have been lucky enough to see her with pleasantness while she engages with other devotees.

Another time as I approached Amma in the queue, she allows me to come closely near to her, in order to get benefit from her holiness.

Once Amma looked into my eyes and smiled, and when I asked some spiritual doubts, “She said OM, OM!” After hearing that, I could not stop crying for about few minutes. From then onwards, I felt thankful to AMMA for reducing lot of burdens in my life.

We could feel as if we stay in our own home itself, whenever we have the opportunity to stay at the divine abode of Amritapuri. Of course, Amma changes every one of us through her kindness, gentleness and holiness.

Still I feel that Amma is always guiding me, I can always feel her smile, and Amma has been the deep transformation of my soul.

“OM SRI MATA AMIRTHAMMA NAMO NAMAHA”
