The present pontiff of Mantralayam Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt is Sri Subhudendra Teertha. Previously he was serving as the Diwan of the Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, and he has become a saint in the year 2013, and he took charge of the administration of the Mutt in the year 2014 from Sri Suyateendra Teertha, and became his successor. His birth name was Raja S. Pavamanacharya.
He was one of the main preachers of the Advaita Philosophy of Madhwacharya, and he conducted spiritual discourses among the people, and inculcated the “SRI RAGHAVENDRA BHAKTI” into their minds, and he participated in the debates with various learned scholars and also won in the debates.
He is a learned pundit and an expert in Vedas, Puranas, Ithikashas and other divine texts. He was born in a pious Madhwa family, and was proficient in regional languages, and was a great devotee of Guru Raghavendra from his young age. Daily he is doing Sri Moola Rama Puja with sincere devotion in mind, and distributing the Holy Prasad after the completion of the Moola Rama Puja.
MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH SWAMIJI
So far, I have made few visits to Mantralayam Raghavendra Swamy Mutt since from the year 1987. During the year 2019, I have undergone pilgrimage to Mantralayam along with my Mother and Aunt. There we had pleasant darshan of Guru Raghavendra Swamy and we also received personal blessings from Sri Subhudendra Theertha Swamigal.
Every year, My Aunt has got the habit of donating some money to Triplicane Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt during the time of Guru Raghavendra Swamy Aradhana Festival day celebration, and due to that, we went to Mantralayam along with Triplicane Mutt Authorities during the year 2019. At that time, my Aunt was very much worried about her health, and when she checked about her life time with Swamiji, Sri Theertharu meditated for some time, and then he answered,” Now you don’t worry. You will live for few more years in this world. Always be happy and let you be blessed by Guru Rayaru”, he said like that! On hearing that, my aunt was very happy!
When my turn comes, I asked about my future, then Swamiji looked deeply into my eyes, and replied within a few seconds, “You will shine in your life only after few more years, and till such time you have to patiently wait for your better future. You will get all sorts of prosperity only after some years, so keep praying to our Guru Raghavendra Swamy”, he said to me like that! And as per his advice, till now I am praying for my bright future, since I have to start my life right from the beginning!
But however, still, I have great hope on to the words of Swamiji and our great Guru Raghavendra Swamy, since the words which comes out from the mouth of Swamiji, shall be treated as the words of Guru Raghavendra Swamy itself!
