Recently, a fire broke out at Mahakumbh 2025 which was quickly brought under control. Radical Islamists, however, ‘rejoiced’ and cherished the incident displaying their deep-seated hatred for Hindus.
Mahakumbh 2025, one of the most sacred festivals of faith for Hindus all over the world is being held after a long gap of 144 years (Kumbh Mela is held once in 12 years, whereas the Mahakumbh happens after 12 such Kumbh Melas) in Prayagraj. The Mahakumbh 2025 which started on 13 January will conclude on 26 February. In a shocking incident, on the seventh day of the Mela on 19 January, a huge fire broke out due to a gas cylinder explosion in the Gita Press camp located between the Shastri bridge and the Railway bridge in Sector 19 of Mahakumbh area of Prayagraj. Fortunately, the fire was quickly brought under control by the state police in around 20 minutes.
As seen in many previous such instances, such as the death of Hindu pilgrims in Uttarakhand last year and the death of Hindu soldiers in the Pulwama attack in 2019, radical Islamists displayed a similar level of schadenfreude and sadistic pleasure on the unfortunate incident during a Hindu festival. This article details 14 such instances where Islamists blatantly exhibited their perverted sense of happiness on Facebook posts that covered this fire incident.
1. On a Hindi Facebook post by the account of news media UP Tak titled, “Massive fire incident in Prayagraj Mahakumbh: several tents burnt to ashes, what are the latest updates” around 79 Islamists expressed their happiness and made fun of the incident by giving ‘laugh’ reactions on the post.
2. On a Facebook post by the social media account The Lallantop titled, “How is the situation in Mela after the massive fire was extinguished in Mahakumbh” more than 40 Islamists celebrated the incident with ‘laugh’ reactions on the post. One Aftab Khan made fun of Sadhus by saying chillum smoking sadhus need to be banned to stop such incidents.
3. On a Facebook post by TV9 Bharatvarsh headlined, “Mahakumbh: 180 cottages, 5 bikes burnt to the ground, was there any external hand at play?” (translated) more than 17 Islamists expressed their delight over the unfortunate incident by giving ‘laugh’ reactions on the post. Few even made irreverent remarks on the powers of Hindu Devi-Devatas.
4. On a Facebook post by NDTV India headlined, “What is the reason behind the fire breakout in Mahakumbh?” (translated) mocked the incident by celebrating over it and pressing the ‘laugh’ reactions on the post.
5. On a Facebook post by ABP News titled, “Mahakumbh fire incident: 6 cylinders explode one after the other, Sadhus reveal which tents were burnt” more than 16 radical Islamists were seen celebrating the incident with ‘laugh’ reactions on the post. One Mehboob commented saying it seems their paap (sins) have become excessive.
6. On a Facebook post by NDTV India headlined, “Watch the horrific scenes of fire tragedy at Sector 19 of Prayagraj Kumbhmela through these photos” more than 170 Islamists mocked and made fun of the incident with ‘laugh’ reactions. One MD Sadique Alam commented that this results from significant paap (sins) being committed at the festival.
7. On a Facebook post by a page called Andh Bhakt Dhulai, headlined, “Fire broke out at Prayagraj Kumbhmela because of cylinder explosions” more than 60 Islamists celebrated the event with ‘laugh’ reactions, and one Saddam Hossain asked what could happen in just 15 minutes?
8. On a Facebook post by a page called Rehaan Rajasthani, headlined, “Fire incident Mahakumbh Mela: witnesses describe the live situation” more than 73 Islamists cheered and celebrated the incident with ‘laugh’ reactions. One Arshad Khan questioned the legitimacy of Hindu Devi Devatas by asking how a Bhagwan who cannot protect oneself protects you.
9. On a Facebook post by a page called Salaam TV, titled, “Fire incident Mahakumbh Mela: CM Yogi reaches the site to take cognizance of the situation” mocked the misery of Hindus with ‘laugh’ reactions while also making fun of Hindu Devi Devatas through denigrating comments.
10. On a Facebook post by a page called Hamara Bharat, titled, “Watch the horrific scenes of fire tragedy at Sector 19 of Prayagraj Kumbhmela” celebrated and mocked the incident by giving ‘laugh’ reactions on the post.
11. On a Facebook post by a page called Rehaan Rajasthani, headlined as “3 crore rupees worth Hindu religious texts burn to ashes during the fire incident at Gita Press camp in Mahakumbh Mela” mocked and celebrated the sad incident with joyful ‘laugh’ reactions and mocked the Bhagavad Gita and Kumbh Mela as well.
12. A Facebook page named Misbah posted, “How did the fire break out at the Mahakumbh?”. In this post, two Islamists were found posting celebratory comments and reactions by pressing the ‘laugh’ reactions on the post.
13. On a Facebook post by BBC News Hindi headlined, “Fire breakout at the Prayagraj Kumbhmela: What could be the reasons?” a staggering more than 271 radical Islamists expressed their celebratory joy and happiness by pressing the ‘laugh’ reactions on the post. A user named Mizan Kirmani said that a fire breakout was bound to happen when the Mela was full of chillum smokers.
14. On a Facebook post by a page called Faisal Afaq Ansari, headlined in a mocking tone as “Baba Bagheshwar should have intimated the officers well in advance of the fire incident at Mahakumbh Mela”, Islamists made fun and frolic over the incident in a distasteful manner by pressing the ‘laugh’ reactions on the post. In the process, they questioned the powers of Hindu Gurus and Sadhu-Sants by mocking them.
It is to be remembered that this is neither the last nor first such instance where Islamists have openly exhibited their sadistic pleasure in the pain and suffering of Hindus while mocking the Hindu Devi Devatas. Anti-Hindu forces revel in such instances and these should be a reminder to the Hindu society about the nature of the mindset that these entities have towards them, instead of being surprised about these incidents.
