Islamist atrocity and attacks on Hindus have reached new levels of horror. An incident of a Hindu woman being molested by an Islamist has come to the fore from Maharashtra’s Thane, a suburb of the nation’s financial capital, Mumbai.
Islamist molests Hindu woman & mob desecrates Mandir
In Thane’s Hazuri, a Hindu woman who had gone shopping for vegetables was molested by an Islamist shopkeeper who began misbehaving with her under the pretext of giving her change. She escaped the molestation and took shelter in a Mandir nearby. She was pursued by the Muslim mob, who threatened her to come out.
She was threatened not to file a case against the molester. It has further come to light that the police initially refused to register an FIR. However, later, they filed a case under pressure. Hindu organisations visited the Commissioner’s office, demanding action. They met the Police Commissioner on Saturday (29 June 2024) at 11 AM and sought strict action against the accused.
In their complaint letter, they highlighted that Hazuri’s Hindus were unsafe. For the past several months, Hindu women have been harassed, and Hindu religious sentiments have been deliberately hurt. According to their letter, the woman was molested by Shezad Shaikh, who forced his way into the woman’s home on 23 June. The organisations highlighted how a mob of 100-150 Islamists forcibly entered the temples with footwear and defiled the Mandir.
The Hindu organisations warned of taking steps for self-defence if police failed to take stringent action against the accused. They have also demanded security for the victim and her family.
