Whenever there is a major celebration at Isha, two groups of people start working overtime. While Isha followers begin preparing for the Mahashivratri celebrations several weeks in advance, another group starts working to disrupt the event by any means possible. This pattern has persisted over the past few years, and this time seems to be no different.
On February 24, a previously unknown journalist, Shyam Meera Singh, released a video titled ‘What’s Happening in Sadhguru (Jaggi Vasudev)’s Ashram?’
He begins the video with the sensational claim that what viewers are about to see has been hidden from the world until now. He then asserts that he possesses several internal emails related to the initiation process of minor girls into Brahmacharya. He claims to have personally investigated these emails and insists that everything he is about to reveal is based on evidence.
Allegation 1
He then shows a video that appears to show Sadhguru’s right foot over a woman named Bharati Varadarayan. He also highlights a vulgar, derogatory post made by a so-called activist, Piyush Manush.

Reality
This screenshot is from a video released by the Isha Foundation, documenting a trip to Kailash Mansarovar. The video is publicly available on various social media platforms. The video misleads viewers into believing that the only people present at the location were Sadhguru and the woman in the image.
In reality, hundreds of onlookers were present. Additionally, several other men and women can be seen lying down in the video as part of a spiritual process conducted during this pilgrimage to Mansarovar.

Allegation 2
He then introduces Maa Pradyuta, who is a board member of the Isha Foundation Trust. The claims made are as follows: Maa Pradyuta purportedly emailed Sadhguru on May 16, 2017. The email allegedly contains “shocking information” about the experiences of minor girls at the ashram during Brahmacharya initiation.

The email claims that young children wake up early, take a dip in “Suryakund,” and that young girls are asked to remove their upper clothing to expose their spine during initiation. The email further claims that this practice should end, citing concerns that the minor girls will not be able to keep it a “secret” from their parents. The email also mentions that the kids doze off while they are in ‘Siddhasana,’ as they wake up very early in the morning. Shyam Meera Singh also mentions that this email was originally ‘released’ by Nakkeeran Gopalan in Tamil.
Isha Foundation has already filed a defamation suit against Nakkeeran Gopalan in this regard. You may read the details at the link below:

Reality
Let us analyze these claims before proceeding further. For the uninitiated, please note that women and girls take a dip in Chandrakund. Instead, the email claims that the girls take a dip in Suryakund. It’s common knowledge that Suryakund is for men and Chandrakund is for women, especially for anyone who has visited the Isha Yoga Center even once. Furthermore, kids who are initiated into Brahmacharya at the Yoga Center do not sit in Siddhasana; instead, they sit in Ardha Siddhasana. In spiritual terms, there is a significant difference between the two. A ‘Maa’ at the ashram would not make these errors.
The bizarre claim regarding girls sitting with their spines exposed was first made by Yamini Ragini, an ex-staff member of Isha Home School in October 2024. This claim was immediately debunked and rejected by other Home School parents. Since then, several parents and former Home School students have come forward, asserting that such claims are false and only intended to bring disrepute to the Isha Foundation.
At this point, I want to reiterate that these sensational claims made by Shyam Meera Singh are nothing new. They have already been debunked and are outdated.
You can watch the press conference organized by Isha Home School parents below.
Apart from mixing up Chandrakund and Suryakund, what’s also amusing are the grammatical errors and spelling mistakes in the email allegedly written by a senior board member of the foundation to Sadhguru. To add to the amusement, it can be seen that the email’s font also appears to change midway through the conversation. This was pointed out by the Youtube channel Aanmeega Superstar in a video released by them in Tamil.

You can watch the full video here:
The email released by Nakkeeran Gopalan three months ago, which is once again shown by Shyam Meera Singh, clearly appears to be fabricated and meant solely to mislead the reader and malign the Isha Foundation.
Allegation 3
The video then goes on to discuss the arrest of a doctor for assaulting young girls.
Reality
This matter was reported in September 2024. The doctor in question was associated with Isha’s mobile outreach, and the foundation had already issued the following statement at that time: “It has been brought to our notice that a case has been registered against an employee who is a doctor with our outreach mobile medical services in the rural areas of Coimbatore. Isha holds a zero-tolerance policy for any crimes against women and children. We are cooperating with the ongoing police investigation and will take necessary actions as per the law.”
Once again, there is nothing new with this claim. This particular case is already being handled by the police.

Allegation 4
The fourth allegation concerns certain statements made in a press conference by Yamini Ragini, a former staff member of Isha Home School, on October 17. In the press conference, she alleged that her son was sexually abused at the yoga center by another student.
Reality
The fact is that this was an incident that allegedly occurred between two students. After being alerted to the incident, the other student was expelled from the school within a few days. The student who was ‘abused’ continued to study at the same school for the next 2-3 years. Yamini herself continued to work at the Isha Home School for the next 2-3 years before she was expelled and relieved of her duties for various reasons, including inefficiency.
Allegation 5
The video also discusses claims made by another student who was allegedly a victim of sexual assault at the Yoga Center. He states that the incident allegedly occurred in 2008.
Reality
This allegation is nothing new. This was mentioned in the press conference by Yamini Ragini. Shyam Meera Prasad claims that this particular family resides in the U.S. Isn’t that convenient? To date, no one knows who this student is or who the parent is who made this ridiculous claim.
Let me ask you all one thing: If your child were assaulted, would you report the matter to the police or just stay quiet for 17 long years? It has been 4 months since the press conference where these claims were made.
The video also shows a complaint allegedly written by the said student to the Tamil Nadu police, where ridiculous claims are made, such as that her parents had gifted four bikes to Sadhguru, in which he supposedly “roams around the world,” etc. Shyam Meera Singh says that the police have yet to file an FIR based on this complaint. So, essentially, the video once again makes tall claims and allegations but fails to provide even an iota of evidence.
Allegation 6
The final allegation is about an alleged rape case that took place within the Yoga Center premises in 2021.
Reality
This particular matter was investigated by the police and closed after the woman withdrew her complaint. This so-called journalist has cleverly crafted his sentences to mislead you into believing that the complaint filed by the woman was against the foundation. Let me make it clear that her complaint was not against Isha Yoga Center.
Just to put things in perspective, if you stay at a hotel and someone assaults you, and you know the perpetrator, would you blame the hotel for the assault, or would you file a complaint against the person who assaulted you?
Conclusion
The liberals are spending a great deal of time and energy attacking Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation. It’s also interesting to see how these attacks by the left-liberal ecosystem are carefully coordinated. Within a few hours, all those known for posting propaganda against Hindu Dharma began posting about this topic, convincing you that this is all well planned and coordinated.
Sadhguru became a prime target of the Dravidians and the left ecosystem ever since he launched the Free TN Temples movement in 2021. Since then, the attacks have been persistent and relentless.
Just last week, the High Court rejected a petition filed by someone against Isha’s Mahashivratri celebrations and this seems to have frustrated the ecosystem once again. Their objective is clear: meddle with our festivals, be it Diwali, Navratri, Vinayak Chaturthi, Sree Krishna Jayanthi, or Mahashivratri. And we need to make it clear that we won’t let them meddle with our culture and festivals anymore.
