“India has issued a fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), demarcating a large no fly zone over the Bay of Bengal for a missile test scheduled between 1 and 4 December 2025.

The danger area stretches close to 3,500 kilometres from the coast ofVisakhapatnam, a profile that mirrors earlier notifications for long range ballistic missile trials. The launch point, near the base of India’s Eastern Naval Command and its nuclear submarines, adds to the likelihood that this test involves a submarine launched ballistic missile.

And if one looks at the geography, the range and the precedent, the most plausible candidate is the K-4 SLBM, with a range of a little over 3,500 km…….”
