BSF-BGB Meet: BSF expressed deep concerns over attacks on BSF jawans by Bangladeshi smugglers

On the 25th of June, Tuesday, four days long commander-level Border Coordination Conference ended between BSF(Border Security Force) of Bharat and BGB(Border Guard Bangladesh). 

BSF and BGB decided to share real-time intelligence, increase joint patrolling and identify vulnerable areas to check smuggling and security challenges along the Bharat-Bangladesh border. 

Inspector General(BSF) South Bengal Frontier Ayush Manipur Tiwari said, “This dialogue has provided us with an important opportunity to enhance security and cooperation along the border. We are confident that this dialogue will result in curbing border crimes and strengthen the security of both the countries.”

According to the reports, BSF expressed deep concerns over the increasing attacks by Bangladeshi goons and smugglers on BSF jawans and Bharatiya citizens.”

In the issued statement by the BSF, it is mentioned, “On this issue, both sides decided to work together and carry out joint patrolling. This will help in identifying vulnerable areas and preventing crimes.”
