“India’s fight against drone-driven smuggling and cross-border infiltration received a major boost on November 26, 2025, with the launch of the country’s first Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV), the Indrajaal Ranger.
Developed by Hyderabad-based Indrajaal Drone Defence, the fully mobile, AI-enabled system is designed to detect, track, and neutralise hostile drones while in motion, marking a significant leap in India’s counter-UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) capabilities.
The launch comes amid a sharp surge in drone-based narcotics and weapons smuggling from Pakistan. In 2025 alone, the Border Security Force (BSF) has neutralised more than 255 Pakistani drones, while intelligence agencies continue to uncover ISI-linked trafficking routes pushing drugs, pistols, ammunition, and explosives into Indian cities…….”
