West Bengal: BSF foils smuggling attempt to Bangladesh, recovered gold worth INR 3 Crore

BSF’s 32 Battalion foiled a gold smuggling attempt to Bangladesh. The jawans also recovered gold bars and biscuits worth INR 3.29 Crore.

As per the reports, on the early morning of the 7th of June, Saturday, BSF jawans of 32 Battalion, posted in the Krishnaganj border of Nadia district, received information that a considerable amount of gold had been gathered in a home. The gold will be smuggled to Bangladesh during the night. 

Based on that secret information, a team of jawans raided the house in Kazibagan area and recovered gold bars and biscuits from a house.

Although, BSF found no one in the house.

BSF informed that two gold bars and twenty gold biscuits had been recovered. The total weight of recovered gold is 4.452 Kg, whose market value is around 3.29 Crore of rupees. 

Later, BSF handed the recovered gold to the Customs Department.
