“On Saturday (17th August), the police arrested a Muslim man for raping his underage daughter for over a year. The incident took place in Bijnor city of Uttar Pradesh.
He raped his 17-year-old child multiple times during the course of a year. The accused was apprehended after his wife filed a complaint with the police on Friday (16th August).
The development was confirmed by Circle Officer Anjani Kumar Chaturvedi. The accused was confronted by his wife about the sexual abuse of their daughter, following which he pronounced the instant triple talaq,
The wife then lodged a complaint with the police with the police, post which a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against him. The man was arrested on Saturday (17th August)…….”
