Islamic conversion mafia is targeting Hindu girls in Maharashtra’s Nanded with the abduction of the sixth Hindu girl (Tweet archived here) belonging to the Matang community reported within one month.
Parents allege Shaikh Amin Shaikh Aman abducted their daughter
Parents of a Hindu SC girl (Matang community) have registered a police complaint accusing Shaikh Amin Shaikh Aman and his friends of abducting their daughter by making false promises of marriage. The complaint states that on 28 February after not finding their daughter at home between 3 and 4 AM, the family searched for her in the village till 6 AM.
They learned that Shaikh Amin Shaikh Aman had eloped with the Hindu girl. The family also discovered that jewellery meant for the girl’s wedding and cash amounting to a lakh and fifty thousand rupees were missing. Ballu Shaikh Jahru and Masood Shaikh Hamid were named as Aman’s accomplices. The victim’s father has alleged that the two are aiding the accused financially and are responsible for their daughter’s elopement.
However, their pleas fell on deaf ears. In his follow-up letter to the Police Commissioner, the girl’s father said that he and his wife were left with no option except self-immolation as the police failed to recover their daughter.
The letter highlights the threat issued by the Islamists to the family. The accused allegedly came to the victim’s house and threatened to kill the victim’s parents if they approached the police. They also said that they are undertaking ‘love jihad’ on the orders of their community leaders.

Legal Rights Observatory noted that this was the sixth abduction within a month. The teak wood smuggling cartel comprising of Multani Muslims is believed to be behind the kidnapping and Islamic conversion racket. As is apparent from the threat issued by the abductors of the Matang girl, they have no fear of the law. This begs the question of whether the police are shielding the accused and if the mafia has ‘political connections’ that keep it immune to punishments.
Islamic conversion mafia uses several different methods to trap Hindus. In 2023, it had come to light that online gaming Apps were used to target Hindus for conversion. A BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) student from Faridabad revealed how non-Muslim youth are brainwashed into accepting Islam. UP IAS officer Iftikharuddin was accused of forcing people to convert to Islam and threatening to ruin their lives if they refused to embrace Islam. Several times coercive techniques have been used to brainwash and manipulate married Hindu women to convert to Islam.
An Islamic conversion racket was uncovered in Maharashtra’s Daund where more than 200 Hindu girls and boys were forcibly converted. Investigations revealed that a well-organized network was reportedly offering financial incentives to Muslim men to lure young Hindu girls, often by posing as Hindus. Most victims were college-age girls who were manipulated with false promises of marriage and later abandoned. Reports also indicate instances of forced circumcision of Hindu men and violence against girls who resisted. Locals alleged political backing for the conversion mafia and inaction by police, creating an atmosphere of fear and helplessness.
Just as in Daund, police inaction and possible political backing for the conversion mafia appear to be the issue at Nanded’s Kinvat too. No parent should be forced to take extreme steps like self-immolation. The Maharashtra Government needs to act decisively and firmly against the conversion mafia to ensure the safety and security of Hindus in general and Hindu girls in particular who are being specifically marked and targeted for grooming (love jihad).
